Kings Norton, Longbridge, Northfield and Weoley residents will be safer as a result of Boris Johnson’s commitment to recruit an additional 20,000 police officers. The Prime Minister came to the police college in Edgbaston to announce the recruitment drive.

West Midlands Mayor Andy Street said, “This commitment will be really welcome in Birmingham – and it is great that it was announced here.”

Gary Sambrook added, “I will be campaigning to ensure West Midlands Police get their share of the new officers. It is great to see the new Government delivering on one of the key concerns local people raise with me.”
